Refugio State Beach CA. is located along the SP's Coast Line north of Santa Barbra. The line snakes into the cove and out again, crossing the enterance to the campgrounds over a short deck bridge. The tight curves of the area make the wheels sing as a train makes its way through the cove, much to the dismay of slumbering campers. The cove is guarded at each end by signals and to the south is Capitan siding.
